Extending crisis measures till 31 March 2011

On the 27^th of January 2010 a bill extending the crisis measures until the 31^st of March 2010 was passed.

Two measures have been extended until the abovementioned date, with the possibility of a second extension until the 31^st ofMay 2011, which shall be decided by royal decree determined in Ministerial Committee after a unanimous decision of the National Labour Committee (Conseil National du Travail). These measures include:
 

1. the temporary suspension of performance of the employment contract for white-collar employees [click here for our previous newsletter of the 1st of July 2009];
2. the “crisis bonus” [click here for our previous newsletter the 30 September 2010].

The bill does not extend the other crisis measures which expired on the 31^st of January 2011. These measures include: 

1. the temporarily adaptation of working time;
2. the “crisis time credit”;
3. the “reorganisation card” for workers of undertakings in bankruptcy.
